Day 30

Back to warm, sunny days again 19 degrees today, 21 forecast tomorrow…

Antony is pretty excited that we can likely play golf again from Tuesday.. and the weather looks good! We haven’t heard for sure when our course will open, but next week it’s likely. I probably can’t hold a club yet as I’m still recovering from my hand injury… but I might go out anyway to keep Ants company, get some fresh air and help him locate his ball. We can only play with those in our bubble so no playing with anyone else yet.

I had a less intense day today – chatted with Hoops on the radio about some TimeBank events, did a great Body Balance workout, zoomed in with the other Hoops and his class at school… and did a bit of my puzzle. I did a 5 minute meditation- inspired by our meditation conversation on Tuesday night… downloaded an app one of the panelists recommended. Not sure it will be a thing for me but we’ll see.

I took the time to finish my book, finally! I love reading but never seem to prioritise it. I also finished watching The Capture -a short BBC TV series which has been on my mind since I started watching it… I would wake in the middle of the night thinking about it, so was good to get to the end and a somewhat resolved season finale! Hoping they’ll do a season 2.

I was doing so well with my puzzle but then when I accidentally knocked the table when I got up from reading on the beanbag… and my glass of water went all over it!! ARGH. So annoyed as I think it may have ruined some of the pieces. I left it in the sun to dry then later tried using the hairdryer to dry it but that just made the glue unglue and the paper fall off the bottom. Hmm… not sure what will happen so have raised up the wet pieces onto a tea towel and hope they’ll dry out in time without too many deformities.

I’ve got bridge online tonight, playing with a partner I haven’t played with before. We had a chat this afternoon to ascertain how we both play… he is a good player so am looking forward to the experience and hope I can keep up!!

About the Author

Born and bred in New Zealand's South Island, this Kiwi likes getting 'out there' exploring the world and its wonderful people! I have taught English in South Korea, volunteered in Kyrgyzstan, studied in Denmark, lived in community in Scotland and visited friends and wonderful people all over the world. Now married to Antony the adventures continue together. I have a habit of being notoriously behind in my blog - but will do what I can to record my adventures, as much for my own record as anything (as I have a terrible memory). After an amazing year in Iran and Europe, in 2016, Antony and I are off again September 29 2019 - Feb 1 2020. Hopefully I can blog about most of what we get up to! Enjoy the read! Kate x
